Public Art Coming Soon to Shallowford Square!
An incredible new relief sculpture is coming to Shallowford Square! Lewisville’s Public Art Advisory Committee has awarded local artist Paul Spainhour the grant to create an iron piece of art to place in Shallowford Square.
The piece is called the “Shallow Ford” and depicts the Yadkin River where the Shallow Ford crosses between the Yadkin Valley and Forsyth County sides. It will be an incredible piece of public art.
Spainhour’s 44 years of experience in design, fabrication, and installation have earned him his current status as a master blacksmith.
There will be a reception unveiling this piece this fall, so stay tuned for the next newsletter and on social media. To learn more about this piece and other public art, please visit lewisvillenc.net/art.
