This class is recommended for both beginning and experienced ink artists.
Session One: intro to crow quill and dip ink methods, strokes, styles. Lots of time for practice as we add new elements. For anyone already experienced, there will be alternative projects, or they can choose to practice again the beginning segments as refresher.
Session Two: landscapes with ink.
Session Three: humans and animals with ink.
Student supplies: F or HB pencil, pink pearl eraser, kneaded eraser, crow quill pen and 2 nibs, bottle of acrylic or India black ink, ink brush (Sumi style), Micron pen (black ink). Flat drawing surface (tables are slightly textured)
Instructor provided supplies: all papers, lidded container for ink wash. If student does not already have ink supplies, they may be purchased from instructor at time of registration.
[Ink packet contains: 1 crow quill barrel, 2 nibs, 1 bottle of ink, 1 semi style brush, 1 micron pen]
Cost (if you already have all listed supplies): $45; if you purchase ink packet from instructor $65.
