What is the Sunshine List?
Have you ever wondered how you could find out more about what is going on with your Lewisville Town Council and Boards or Committees? Have you heard about the Sunshine List?
In North Carolina, the Sunshine List is a list of individuals and organizations that have requested to receive notice of public meetings and public hearings from public bodies. This list is commonly referred to as the “Sunshine List”. Public bodies are required to provide notice of meeting and public hearing to anyone who requests the information. This allows residents to stay informed about the operations of local government and to participate in the democratic process.
