Waste Management Delay Information - Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 3:55 p.m.
Waste Management will service Monday and Wednesday's trash route beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Please place your trash carts curbside by 6 a.m. tomorrow if you are regularly serviced on Monday or Wednesday. Waste Management personnel will begin the route a bit later than normal when roads are deemed safe. Residual ice may be a problem in the early part of the morning hours. If crews are unable to finish Monday and Wednesday's routes tomorrow, please leave your cart in place and it will be collected as soon as possible. Rule of thumb, when in doubt, place the cart out.
The Town of Lewisville and the NC DOT are working diligently to clear streets enabling Waste Management to resume service tomorrow.
***Recycle collection is cancelled for the entire week to allow the extra trucks and personnel to collect the trash in a timely manner. Recycle collection will resume the week of January 31. Another snow event is a possibility for Friday thus Waste Management crews must work swiftly.***
