The Town of Lewisville's Parks and Recreation program offers a wide variety of events and activities throughout the year, the majority of which take place in downtown Lewisville's Shallowford Square.

Here is the exciting 2023 events season festivities planned for Shallowford Square.

A calendar insert will be included in the May/June newsletter or you may stop by Town Hall for a copy of the 2023 calendar of events.

Mark those calendars and come join us for a fun-filled events season at Shallowford Square!

Join the Town for a number of family movie nights throughout the spring and summer. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy family-friendly movies, along with traditional movie concessions for sale. 

Shallowford Square transforms into a concert pavilion during the Concert Under the Stars series! Artists range from bluegrass to jazz to classic rock to Top 40 hits. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the musical offerings, or come with your dancing shoes on!

Join us for the annual Lewisville Street Party and Food Truck Festival at Shallowford Square. We will host a variety of food trucks for your dining pleasure and music sure to set the mood for a good time! Adult beverages will be offered from Hoots Brewery and Medaloni Cellars. Admission is free. This is one of our most popular events of the summer season. 

Join Lewisville’s Annual Fitness Walk!

This is a Town effort to promote active and healthy lifestyles for our residents. Participants are required to walk 50 miles between September 29 and November 30. How you do it is up to you; it can be through Lewisville’s beautiful parks or even on a home treadmill! Residents of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to participate.

Participants are entered in a random drawing for a chance to win cash prizes of $10, $25, or $50!

Lewisville Fitness Walk

Calling all ghouls and goblins! The Shalloween Halloween festival is always a fun event for children and families. There are a host of activities for children ages 0-12 including games, prizes, costume contests, arts and crafts and much more.

Join the Town in the annual lighting of the Christmas tree in Shallowford Square. Kids can enjoy Christmas crafts, hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, a holiday sing-a-long, a special reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas and a very special appearance by the man in red!

Lewisville residents are invited to a showing of The Santa Clause (1994) on December 8 at the Mary Alice Warren Community Center. Space is limited, so you must register at lewisvillenc.net/christmas-movie-night or call 336-945-1026. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the movie begins at 7 p.m. We’ll have free refreshments available.

Bring the whole family! Kids are welcome to wear pajamas and bring blankets or sleeping bags! Chairs will be provided.
