Lewisville Celebrates National Family Literacy Day

The Town of Lewisville proclaims November 1 as National Family Literacy Day. Originally established by Congress in 1994, National Family Literacy Day highlights the importance of reading and learning for the entire family. This day also emphasizes parents' impact on their children’s learning.

The Town would also like to extend our deep appreciation to our local librarians, educators, and literacy service providers for their tireless efforts to strengthen the literacy of our children and community.

Town Council made this proclamation at the regular October meeting.
